The 2026 IEEE 103rd Vehicular Technology Conference, VTC2026-Spring, was held in Nice, France, from June 9 to 12, 2026. IEEE VTC is a semi-annual flagship conference of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society, providing an international forum for researchers and engineers in wireless communications, mobile communications, vehicular networks, intelligent transportation, and vehicular technology.

Benwu Wang, a Ph.D. student from the School of Instrument Science and Engineering, Southeast University, attended the conference and delivered an oral presentation entitled “RIC-MAE: Self-Supervised Masked Pretraining for Intermediate Collaboration in V2X Perception” in the session “3I: Collaborative Perception”. This work was supervised by Prof. Xu Li from the School of Instrument Science and Engineering, Southeast University. The presented study focuses on intermediate feature representation learning for V2X cooperative perception and proposes a self-supervised masked pretraining framework to improve collaboration. The method learns spatial context and cooperative representations from multi-agent scenes by masking and reconstructing collaborative intermediate features.

During the conference, Benwu Wang exchanged ideas with researchers from universities, research institutes, and industry on cooperative automated driving, V2X perception fusion, and robust cooperative perception. This participation further presented the school’s research progress in intelligent connected vehicle perception and strengthened academic communication with international peers.
